Veligandu Island Resort is the only resort on the island of Veligandu, in North Ari Atoll.
Transfer
Transfers are provided by seaplane, a 20 minute ride from/to the Hulhule International Airport.
Accommodation
73 Rooms, located on the beach, including 43 Beach Bungalows, 8 Deluxe Bungalows, 10 Water Villas and 12 Deluxe Water Villas. Each room features tropical décor, two twins, one queen or one king size bed, tile or wood floors, private patio or sundeck with furniture, airconditioning, overhead ceiling fan, sitting area with CD Player, stocked Mini Bar with refrigerator, tea/coffee machine, IDD telephone, personal safe, bathroom with hot water, shower, bath accessories, hairdryer, and nightly turndown service. Also provided is complimentary use of chaise lounges at the beach and beach towels. Electricity is 220VAC, 50HZ
Beach Bungalows are set apart individually, offset to provide privacy, and offer a beautiful view of the lagoon. Each bungalow features tile floors, and a partially open-air bathroom with a tropical garden.
Deluxe Bungalows are located at the water’s edge, with your own private sundeck, a ladder into the sea, a spectacular view of the surrounding lagoon, the luxury of a large bedroom with sitting area, tile floors, a bathroom with a bathtub and a separate shower, a tea/coffee/espresso machine.
Water Villas are located in the lagoon and provide a truly secluded hideaway. Just a short walk along your private jetty leads you to this exclusive Shangri La! Your spacious Villa provides the luxury of a large bedroom with sitting area, wooden floor, a beautiful view of the lagoon through the sliding glass doors leading to your over-the-water sundeck with a ladder into the sea, a well-appointed bathroom with double sinks, a shower, a bathtub with picture window overlooking the sea, and a tea/coffee/espresso machine.
Deluxe Water Villas are even more spacious, and feature a luxurious partially open-air bathroom.
FACILITIES Dining: The Dhonveli Restaurant, the main dining room, with traditional sand floor, serves “all you can eat” buffet style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner; alternating with a Dinner Set Menu, one evening each week, a variety to please everyone’s taste! As well, an “optional” selection of special Dinners is served on the Beach, and Room Service is available for Breakfast. Bar: The Haruge Bar, and al fresco deck overlooking the lagoon, serving your favorite beverage and snacks.
Diving: OceanPro Divers SCUBA Centre featuring Guided Diving and Snorkeling Boat Trips, Equipment and Accessory Sales, Rental and Repair, and a complete PADI Instructional Program.
Sports & Recreation: Beautiful White Sand Beach, a Magnificent Lagoon and an excellent House Reef for Snorkeling, Beach Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Billiards, Darts, and Guest vs. Staff Football matches, Fishing Excursions including Morning, Sunset and Deep Sea trips, Fitness Centre with modern exercise equipment.
